As a continuation to The Cobbler, my understanding of the hiking shoe is translated to the design of a space that showcases the performance of hiking.

 

Exploring the dualities of inside and outside, and visibility and invisibility, I blur the distinction between the performer and the viewer. One is expected to hike up along the perimeters of the structure, before they transition into the building and become the viewer, watching the hike that is performed by their successors. It is a space that encourages personal reflection and respects individual choice in adapting to an organically formed space.
